Notice of Public Meeting
First and Second Street Improvements
Dear Resident,
You are invited to attend a public meeting at 6:00 pm on June 20th at Avilla Town Hall, 108 S Main Stree to discuss the Town of Avilla’s project to make improvements to First Street, Meadows Parkway and Second Street. The Town of Avilla has contracted with Pulver Asphalt Paving, Inc., to work on First Street from VanScoyoc Street to Teders Street, Meadows Parkway to Ridgeview Trail and Second Street from VanScoyoc Street to Waters Street. Representatives from the Town, A&Z Engineering and Pulver Asphalt Paving, Inc. will be on hand to explain the project and answer any questions you may have.
On, or about July 5, 2023, weather permitting, they plan to start with concrete removal, storm lines and prepping for sidewalks. That will be followed by installation of new sidewalks, street repairs and asphalt. Depending on the weather, the project should take about 60 days to complete.
During the project, we will not be able to keep the streets open to traffic, especially when the old asphalt is removed in portions of the project. Use alternate routes to get into the neighborhood.
Caution will be needed to allow the workers to do their job safely. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience.
