Noble County Launches Noble Tomorrow Planning Process

August 11, 2017

Noble County and the communities of Albion, Avilla, Cromwell, Ligonier, and Rome City are beginning the planning process for a new Comprehensive Plan. The Noble County Plan Commission is leading this effort to collaborate between communities and determine their futures and how their governments can best serve their residents.

Vital to the Plan’s success is community member input. All residents (age 15+) are asked to answer questions about their community by visiting nobletomorrow.org/survey and completing a short survey. This information will help the communities respond to the values of citizens and create the communities that the citizens want to see and live in. Paper copies of the survey can be obtained at the Plan Commission office or by calling the office at (260) 636-7217.

Residents can expect to hear about Noble Tomorrow throughout the next year. There will be opportunities for public input along the way including public meetings and stakeholder interviews.

The Plan Commission is working with a Ball State University Planning Class of College Seniors to develop the plan as a part of their educational experience. The Plan has an expected adoption date of early Summer 2018.
