Dear Avilla Resident or Business Owner,
Pulver Asphalt Paving, Inc. has informed me that they will begin the last phase of Avilla’s Community Crossings Matching Grant project that was started in 2019. The last phase includes West Albion Street from Main Street to Haines Street.
On, or about February 17, 2020, weather permitting, they plan to begin installing some new storm sewers. After the storm sewers are installed, they will begin replacing curbs, driveway approaches, sidewalks, and the asphalt surface. Depending on the weather, they hope to be finished by June 1st.
During the project, parking will not be allowed on the street during working hours. If you leave your vehicle on the street while the contractor is milling, for example, we will attempt to contact you. If you cannot be reached, the vehicle will be towed at your expense.
During the project, at least one lane of Albion Street will be open to traffic except while Pulver is installing a new pipe across the street. That should not take more than one day.
